Currently, all the assets and real property of the rolling mill put on sale are the subject of enforcement proceedings, carried out by a bailiff upon the application of creditors. Metallurgical activities on the premises of the former Huta Jedność (Jedność Steelworks) are currently conducted by WRS, a company 100% owned by Silesia Financial Association.
WRS is one of the largest manufacturers of cold-drawn seamless steel pipes and pipes with seams. It is continuing the 170-year-old tradition of Jedność Steelworks in Siemanowice Śląskie.
The sale will take place under enforcement proceedings. This means that the acquirer will purchase the assets unencumbered. The assets are secured and the machinery, which is kept in halls, is in a good state of repair.
Technical facilities produced by a renowned company, Mannesmann Demag (currently SMS MEER) were delivered between 2000-2002. Similar SMS MEER technological systems are operated in seamless tube rolling mills throughout the world.
Interested parties are offered the possibility to purchase either the totality of assets or parts thereof, organised according to technological criteria; however, it is preferred that the totality of assets be sold.
TFS invites potential buyers to enter into talks regarding the rolling mill and encourages the launch of production by the buyers in Siemianowice Śląskie.
The object of the offer is the rolling mill’s technological line of Mannesmann seamless tubes, which consists mainly of:
- rotary heating furnace
- walking-beam preheating furnace
- rotary piercer
- hollow reducing mill
- continuous mandrel mill
- stretch reducing mill
- pipe induction reheating unit
